Tres Montes Natural Tasting Notes

We get a wide variety of flavors from this coffee depending on how it is brewed. There is a cornucopia of fruit notes with blackberry, cherry, guava, banana, pineapple, naranjilla, tamarillo, lychee, and passion fruit. The lychee, guava, and passion fruit notes mingle with dominant floral notes of jasmine, honeysuckle and passion flower. Earthy notes of dark chocolate, cacao nibs, and fine tobacco round out the cup.

About The Coffee Producer

Tres Montes is a blend of three of the favorite natural process Colombian coffees we’ve tasted this year. We have showcased two of the three coffees individually in previous harvest years. The current crop of Tolima Natural and Chambaku Natural make up two of the three components of this coffee. While we loved each of these individual coffees both in years past and in this present crop, we believe that this blend creates a rounder cup with a greater level of depth than the individual components.

The third component is from Villa Pastora, a multigenerational farm in Huila run by Andrés Rodríguez. The farm is planted with Caturra, Tabi, and Pink Bourbon.

Tres Montes - but Cinco Stars!

This coffee is rich and bright. It has the berry and chocolate profile I love. It reminded me of other great coffees Black Oak has offered. Really good!
