We used to hang out here, back when it was The Coffee Critic. Meeting friends, drinking as much sugar as we did coffee, using it as a landmark by which everything else in town was related. When Black Oak was just an idea, and the cafe was available, we couldn’t say no. It meant revitalizing an important part of life growing up, and bringing it to a whole new crowd — even if some of the faces are still familiar.
Our menu is full of drinks for everybody and we’ve got plenty of delicious things to eat. Grab a quiet corner, watch our roasters at work, or meet up with some friends.

The food menu features an array of fresh, seasonal breakfast & lunch choices. Fare ranges from elevated cafe classics such as a soft scrambled breakfast burrito, to innovative vegetarian & vegan food, such as the grab and go carrot cake muesli and a range of seasonal tartines. Our drinks menu is constantly being updated with exciting seasonal creations.
