Brew tip of the month: traveling with coffee

Blog Home

Traveling to a place with uncertain coffee quality or brewing devices? One of the first things I try and figure out is how much space I have in my suitcase for coffee gear. If you are limited on space, you may only have room for a brewer. My first choices would be a combination of pre-ground coffee and an Aeropress or French press. Practice with our preferred 15:1 brew recipe so that you see how many grounds you need to brew a strong cup. If your trip is longer than a week, you may consider a mini hand grinder to make sure the coffee doesn’t start tasting old (we recommend the Rhino Wares Ceramic hand grinder).

Want fresh roasted coffee automatically delivered to your doorstep?  Check out our Walk in  Woods club and set up bi-weekly or monthly deliveries of any of our blends.
