Meet the Champ
Unmistakable style, world-class palate — Steve Cuevas has had a busy year steering the ship for Black Oak’s roasting team, collecting hardware for the mantle, and traveling near and far. After finishing first in the U.S. Cup Taster’s Championship this Spring, Steve represented the U.S. in Budapest for the world competition. When he’s not grabbing all the awards for himself, Steve has had a major hand in bringing home team prizes, helping Black Oak to take top honors in the Golden Bean Roasting Competition, where the Ethiopia Chelelektu was named America’s Best Espresso.
