Orchard
Organic Espresso or Drip
A Beautiful Blend for a Bounty of Flavor
About This Coffee
Mendocino County’s roots run deep in agriculture, and we boast an array of fruit and nut orchards that produce beautiful bounties every year. Our Orchard espresso blend is a celebration that heritage: a combination seasonal organic coffees that highlights each coffee’s natural fruit and candied nut flavors. It’s roasted just long enough to bring out a nice layer of toasty chocolate. Orchard is big, just like Mendocino County — and it’s great as a straight shot or in your favorite latte.
How To Brew
Orchard is delicious both as drip or espresso. It's versatile and easy.

Orchard - Certified Organic Espresso or Drip
10 oz of water and brew it into the half and half in my thermos. It never gets old having the 2 best coffee roasts always available. The heartwood has a soft woody flavor and the espresso is smooth like the gentleman jack of espresso. I have had lots of other coffees over the years and nothing tops black oak coffee roasters.
I have been searching for a full bodied coffee with a smooth finish and this is the one! Truly the best coffee I have had in a very long time🙏🏻
While the description certainly sounds appealing the reality is that the Orchard blend is roasted dark enough to bring out an ashy flavor and smell in a straight shot. The beans had a light coating of oil 6 days post roast. Seems a shame to take them dark enough to make ashiness/tabacco the primary lingering flavor after drinking a shot. Lowering the shot temp helps but nothing is going to completely remove the ashy taste.
Excellent!
