Bear Harbor
Organic Espresso or Drip
Big, Bold and Satisfying
Bear Harbor is a new name for the "Orchard" coffee our customers have known and loved. We renamed it after one of our favorite places as a celebration of our partnership with California State Parks Foundation. 10% of profits from our organic coffees go to the work they do.
About This Coffee
Bear Harbor sits at the end of a long trail where the Lost Coast meets the sea. It’s remote, wild, and worth the trek.
Our Bear Harbor espresso blend captures that sense of arrival: a combination of seasonal organic coffees that highlights each coffee's natural fruit and candied nut flavors, roasted just long enough to bring out a rich layer of toasty chocolate.
Big, bold, and satisfying, just like the rugged coast. Perfect as a straight shot or in your favorite latte.
How To Brew
Bear Harbor is delicious both as drip or espresso. It's versatile and easy.
Use our brew guides for a good jumping off point with your preferred brewer.

I have been searching for a full bodied coffee with a smooth finish and this is the one! Truly the best coffee I have had in a very long time🙏🏻
Excellent!
These beans have a very nice full bodied but not bitter taste coming from my espresso machine. I am very pleased with it.
It is delicious espresso but for someone who drinks at least one a day it is a little too pricey for me. Clearly it is cheaper than buying an espresso at a shop. Maybe the shipping made it not work for me ($6).
I haven't lived on the north coast in quite some time, but have it shipped to me via Black Oak! Also, make a point to stop in Ukiah for cup when heading through! Great coffee, business and people.
Love the coffee at Black Oak! Super friendly staffs
Delicious!
Used to order Duomo, but Orchard is even more deep and balanced! Love it.
A discount did not appear on my order and they refunded the error without a problem
A few years ago we were driving through CA on a 6,000 mile road trip and stopped at small country store to grab a cup of coffee and stretch our legs. We pulled back on the road and I sipped my coffee and was blown away. Best cup of coffee I had ever had. I reminisced about that coffee to my wife for years. This year for Christmas she traced our route and found that country store and figured out that they served Black Oak coffee. She gave me my first Black Oak gift card. I'm happy to say my initial first impression was spot on. And the Orchard so far is my favorite. Dark but still complex. And the prettiest espresso we pull.
Delicious coffee and great subscription service
We really enjoy Orchard. It’s so smooth and easy to drink!
Wonderful coffee for a French press
I live in Brooklyn, but I have a monthly subscription to Black Oak coffees because they are so good! I visited Ukiah years ago and have been hooked ever since. My favorite roasts are Duomo and Orchard— two amazing espresso blends that are strong and smooth. Thanks Black Oak! Stay well in the pandemic! ❤️💜❤️
I believe this is a quality coffee and I am confident it is expertly roasted. I just personally don't care for the relatively-dark roast, as the roast notes dominate the flavor profile and obscure any of the underlying flavors it may have. This is what I think many people encounter especially in their travels to certain places in Europe and have come to associate this with "espresso." For me, it was fine in a milk drink where those flavors are subdued, but I would not tend to drink it straight. For preparation, I am using an 18g dose at around 200F. For this particular coffee, I have to grind much finer than other coffees to get a yield of 40g in under 30 seconds. My target yield for most espresso is actually around 30g, and so I am still experimenting with the optimal yield and brew ratio.
Yum. Thanks.
I love all Black Oak Coffee roasts!!
Froze it for later consumption. I usually like your coffee a lot so I’ll give it a high rating in anticipation of full satisfaction.
I moved from Ukiah a year ago and really missed BlackOak coffee. I was so happy to discover I can still purchase on line!
I use the Organic espresso for my latte every morning... bliss!
