Coffee Tasting Notes

This coffee is the quintessential high quality Papua New Guinean coffee. The cup is dominated by notes of toasted marshmallow and chocolate. The full body and sweetness lends to the impression of hot chocolate. The sweetness of the cup is mellowed by mild acid notes of red apple and red grape. Herbal notes of cola and mallow finish the cup.

About The Coffee Producer

This coffee is produced by small holder farmers who cultivate around one acre on average. The farmers come from a number of different tribes who occupy the same Nebilyer Valley and are located around the Kuta coffee mill. The Kuta mill and the livelihoods supported by coffee have helped bring a lasting peace to the valley, which was historically marred by tribal violence.

We chose this coffee because it highlights the best classical coffee flavor profile of the Western Highlands of Papua New Guinea. It is fascinating and well worth the while to pair this with the Natural Process East Highlands Natural.
