Nothing quite compares to the florality offered by quality washed Ethiopian heirloom coffees. The flavors of peach and apricot blend with the aroma of jasmine and a hint of sweet, vanilla, akin to honeysuckle.
Producer Notes: Washed Ethiopian coffees command a special reverence at Black Oak. The unique combination of heirloom coffee varieties, terroir, and process that goes into these lots creates something of immense beauty. Delicate, complex, floral, exceptional washed Ethiopian coffee borders on the ethereal.
Brew Better: This coffee is great iced and is fairly tolerant of brew in that setting. However, this coffee is delicate in terms of brew method for hot coffee. Short brew times (less than three minutes) with water no warmer that 200℉ work well on slightly finer ground beans with a 1:12 to 1:14 brew ratio.
