Cups of San Martín are sweet with notes of caramel and milk chocolate. Notes of apple and green grape acidity round out the sweetness, balancing the cups into exceptionally smooth delightful experiences topped off with hints of dried red fruits.
Producer Notes: San Martín refers to the department of Peru where the Andes meet the rainforest and where a group of 475 member farmers took it upon themselves to better their quality of life by producing exceptional coffees. Starting in 2002 and finally forming the Association of Ecological Producers, or Aproeco for short, these farmers started to meticulously screen and taste the lots from each farm. Over time this practice improved the quality of the lots, a feedback system that created better quality, higher prices and sustainable farming.
