This single origin coffee has a perfect flavor profile for chilly fall mornings. It's rich, full bodied and features loads of sweetness with notes of graham cracker, honey, milk and bakers chocolate, with hints of fall nuts and an ever so subtle dried fruit finish.
This coffee is produced by members of Ecuador 's Federación Regional de Asociaciones de Pequeños Cafetaleros Ecológicos del Sur, or FAPECAFES. Founded in 2002, FAPECAFES greatly aided in the development and commercialization of specialty, organic, Fair Trade coffee with a goal of improving coffee quality and the quality of life for the coffee farmers.
Currently, FAPECAFES has around 1,200 members. The organization is passionate in promoting organic farming methods and prohibits the use of agrochemicals. In addition to coffee, members are assisted in diversifying their crops and livelihoods.
This coffee lot was produced in the Palanda and Chinchipe cantons, located in the mountainous southern portion of Ecuador.
Processing Method: Fermentation for 14 hours then washed and dried on solar beds
Brew Notes: This coffee produces great cups with a wide range of brew techniques. We recommend using a 1:12 and 1:15 brew ratio and steeping with water between 195-205℉ for no more than three and a half minutes.
