Vietnam - Lam Dong Natural

An exceedingly rare coffee gem

Notes of Berry Reduction, Banana, and Marshmallow

Lam Dong Natural Tasting Notes

This extraordinary coffee opens with bright red fruit notes of red grape, cherry, and strawberry. Banana becomes prominent during the middle portion of the cup, along with darker, more jammy berry notes. The cup finishes with notes of marshmallow and cacao nibs.

About The Coffee Producer

Vietnam is the world's second largest coffee producer, however over 95% of Vietnamese coffee is Robusta, which tends to be quite unpalatable without the addition of considerable amounts of cream and sugar (often in the form of sweetened condensed milk.)

In addition, most of the Arabica produced in Vietnam tends to be of poor quality. So, this excellent quality arabica is an absolute rarity which we very much hope is an indication of development in the Vietnamese specialty market.

This particular coffee is the product of ~180 of the ~500 households that compose the Dung K’NO commune. The farms average less than two hectares and also produce staple crops for personal consumption.
